Best Beach Clubs In French Riviera

Set on the beautiful and famous beach Plage de Pampelonne in Ramatuelle, Le Club 55 is arguably one of the most famous of all the St Tropez beach clubs. And oldest, welcoming visitors since 1955.

At Club 55 you can either have a seat in the shabby-chic restaurant or in sun loungers right on the beach. You will not be alone, and you will most likely not be the most famous guest either. Club 55 has been (and still is) famous for hosting some of the biggest names in Hollywood. So a perfect spot for people watching.

Vibrant, lively and with a trendy crowd, Club 55 is still friendly and honour their philosophy since its creation in 1955: “The customer is not king here…because he is a friend”.

The restaurant serves rustic dishes with Mediterranean flavours. Lots of fresh vegetables, seafood and delicacies from the grill. And while here, it is almost mandatory to try some of the Club 55’s own wine.

Quite pricey, as you would expect, but with a lovely and vibrant atmosphere (often highlighted by live bands) and a great and friendly service, Club 55 is close to a ‘must-visit’. Come for a long and fun lunch or some relaxing cocktails under the palm trees. Just remember to make reservations.

Located on the Beach de la Bouillabaisse, the Pearl Beach is a beach club and restaurant offering some of the best views around, over the bay of Sainte-Maxime. Especially around sunset, when a table by the ocean really is ‘the place to be’.

In a relaxing, yet fun and vibrant atmosphere, the Pearl Beach restaurant offers a mix of exotic flavours and more classic Mediterranean food. Available as both lunch and dinner, the menu is rather slim, but the dishes are made to perfection.
